Bummy Monday

I'm feeling bummed. My 94 year old grandma is on her way out - my parents just saw her in California. We are very near the end. Very sad, but it is her time, but still, it looms. Not a good feeling.

Professionally, the HotDocs deadline looms... and I don't have a trigger broadcaster in place, in fact, I'm just starting to shop around for one - so that's beyond a long shot - so I'm kind of bummed, because although I gave myself an incredibly short amount of time to get that done with all the travel and day job stuff, its still a disappointment. There are other markets and opportunities, this we know for sure... so I should and will buck up. It takes along time to get that stuff in line - your film needs to be really strong, you need to communicate back and forth and wait and communicate more and wait and all that kind of stuff. So I'm in a great position for that to start. I'll apply anyway, to get the paperwork in, but anyway.

Sigh.

And I got a very small raise today which means that I can't ask for a bigger one. Which sucks.
