She Read the Letter!

I accompanied my friend to court today, to hear the sentencing of the accomplice. He got 5 years. She had the extreme courage to stand up and read him a letter. He didn't look at her, but I was watching him blink. He apologized, said he had "5 sisters so I know what its like..." but hey, he has no clue what its like, or why the hell would he have done what he did? Off he goes. My friend was terrified, her voice was trembling, but she did it. I'm very proud.

We had pancakes afterward with her mom.
