Something random and pretty

This photo is from Italy. It is how I like things to look - ethereal, pretty, unrelated. I've been shooting lots of interviews and they are what they are. Itching to shoot pretty -- filler, parties, dancing, interaction, the New York Streets. Cameraman and I are set to do that next week. And then drop it in.

I spent the day in Queens -- way out, interviewing a Middle School Guidance Counselor about sex. She was absolutely awesome, full of ideas, very articulate, adorable and sweet. It was such a trek out there and back, took up the whole day.

I wish I could digitize and upload the material but my deck decided to die today. So no snappy picture of Queens, Bronx or Guidance Counselor. It was time, about 3 years of loyal service... now I need to drop some cash to replace it. Gr. There is much to do, I can find clips of my adorable teen ager and go back to the hookers -- key words: Power, Boundaries, Negotiation.

I will say, that my opinions about EVERYTHING are starting to evolve and shift. A big part of this film needs to be about: What Can We Do About It?

The law is not the way to go... it is not... you can't be a parent to everyone, some schools do it right, some don't. Some have condoms, some have Bibles. I guess you show the complexity, try and be truthful about sex, rape, desire, power and help people figure out ways to negotiate better.
