we're off (and hot)

had back to back meetings but the pms is gone. now it is just HOT (as mauricio would say "africa hot") round these parts. i'm not sunburned, because i'm blocking myself like hell, but grumpy.

haven't slept in one place in three days... and no sleep tonight just plane. all day in hot jerusalem, falling in love with the market and nahlaot, hard to say goodbye to the fabulous enia. then back to tel aviv for a painting show, ma'ayan curated, i loved the show - the artist- and best of all (of course) saw my friend yossi, my artistic/photographic savior from last year. that was poignant and surprising. then we had a carribean dinner and considering i almost died from a stomache something this morning and afternoon, i managed to survive quite gracefully.

had a wonderful meeting with anat zuria, my friend and director yesterday. she has offered to be my producer here to get funds - and in general to use her name. i'm very happy. i want to help her on her first feature film, so when she's shooting, i may come here and shadow/assist her for a month this winter.

got some inexpensive sexy dresses from india - very femmey and light weight for summer and to look good for you... i bought one with the special intent of bike riding in it, in all of its foxiness and loaded up on gifts - so you reading are the lucky ones.

i thought alot about capitalism this trip.

and how i'm still need to finish packing and my taxi comes soon...
