America, The Totally Fucked Up
I have two channels on my TV and only use it for watching movies, really. It was a gift from Norman and George and its from 1981. Real wood paneling. The other night, after staying to work on my Sundance proposal I came home and decided to detox with bad TV. In Jerusalem I used to detox and calm my mind by surfing the internet for photos of Lindsey Lohan gaining and losing weight or Kate Moss leaving rehab. I found it soothing.
Actually watching television is a new dimension. What I saw was the most horrifying and disgusting fucking thing ever. Our culture is absolutely basic, dumbed down, sexist and plastic. I happened to catch "Two and a Half Men" about a perverted and lazy bachelor, Charlie Sheen, his neurotic brother, Jon Cryer and his bratty 12 year old kid. Fine, boring, harmless, etc.
But the disgusting gist of the show, was the Jon Cryer was finally getting laid, by a 22 year old girl. This nebbishe guy is like in his late 40s and is disgusting. He's basically fucking a porn star 22 year old red-head. We meet her when she comes over for a "booty call" that she announces in front of the 12 year old.. so we see that awkward and disgusting exchange.
Literally we get the chance to see her in her push up bra, most parts of her body and the best part is that she talks like she's 9 years old. At one point, half naked and begging for sex, she actually asks if they will be playing with balloons at the 12 year old's party. Because all half-naked sex crazed bombshells love to play with balloons and eat cupcakes. Thus having the mentality of a simple minded pre-teen girly. Disgusting. It was all about Jon Cryer getting laid, Charlie Sheen smirking and mentioning "pert little asses" and this 12 year old kid watching the debasement of some girl by his dad. And then popping viagra. If you read the description of the show, you'll also see that the other women characters in it are, in their words: domineering (maid), manipulative (neighbor), neurotic (ex-wife), narcissistic and emotionally toxic (mother).
And Im fucking SURE that this show was created by Jews... henceforth the middle aged loser Jewish guy fucking the porn star, so even double shame to the produers.
OH -- and this is the network that freaked out when Janet Jackson's nipple got exposed.... UGH this country.

i HATE that show. i watched about 3 minutes of it once just to inform myself, as i like to do with pop culture for context, and it made me sick.
but the description of what you saw makes me sicker. i love america but beneath the surface it is a fucked up country we live in, with fucked up standards that are played out on tv, making people totally disconnected from reality, validating their passing thoughts as they go about their robotic days, thoughts if they weren't validated by stupid sitcoms would be most likely ignored and their time and their minds used more wisely.
and god forbid the presence of female breasts or nipples on television or in non-pornographic periodicals, for they are the Wizard of Oz and must be obeyed, therefore to resist their power we must suppress their visibility to the utmost extent!
The constant subjugation of women and promotion of a bubble headed plastic doll acting as a woman is so degrading and damagine... ridiculous.
