I was sworn against buses until I realized how much money I was burning on cabs and how efficient (for Jerusalem) taking buses are. But last week the city was tense but I couldn't tell what was my projection or what was happening. Sharon had just been rushed to surgery, roads were blocked off, and sirens were blazing. I was a nervous wreck each time the bus stopped. There are simply not enough armed guards, and I can think of no worse way to die then blowing up on a bus. So unless its empty and late at night, I'll suck up the $7 one way.

I thought you were sworn against taking buses already–

I hear you. But of course, being me, I still would have taken the bus to avoid paying the $7.
That's why I love you... and lemme tell ya, it kills me everytime I do it!
